As per news reports, Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari, has quoted that the government plans to launch an e-commerce platform with an eye on garnering revenues of around ₹ 10-lakh crore over the next two-three years.
At the 200th listing of an MSME company, ‘Wonder Fibromats’, on the NSE Emerge SME platform Nitin Gadkari had quoted, “the Bharatcraft portal, which will be on the lines of Alibaba and Amazon, will provide a platform for MSMEs to market and sell their products and, in turn, boost the sector”.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has several times emphasised on to take MSMEs contribution from 29 per cent to 50 per cent in country’s GDP. In fact, he has also frequently quoted to add another 5 crore jobs in the MSME sector.
