As per news reports, Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee inaugurated several micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) industrial units in Howrah district. The chief minister also announced that such projects will create around two lakh new jobs in the state.Mamata Banerjee announced that ₹ 13,000 crore has been allocated for the development, she quoted “Several industrial clusters and industrial parks, acreage of 1,633 acres dedicated to MSME has been inaugurated. About ₹ 13,000 crore has been allocated for developing them and with this two-lakh people would get employment,” she said.The chief minister also said that the situation in West Bengal was better in the backdrop of companies shutting down across the country. She quoted, “we have a deep responsibility towards the citizens of this state. We want big industries like Wipro and Microsoft who are setting up bases here.”
