As per news reports, Walmart owned Flipkart is likely to expand its offline reach, as well as boost its grocery delivery business. The reports also say that Flipkart is in talks with the Bengaluru based grocery chain Namdhari Fresh to tie up.Reports indicate that Walmart has been in talking terms with Namdhari, but the acquisition will be made through Flipkart and the deal is being worked out. In fact, The report the mega giant, Walmart is keen to get into businesses with strong agri-supply chain and Namdhari’s sourcing from farmers is a key area of focus in the talks. At present, Namdhari Fresh has more than 30 stores in Bengaluru, it was founded in 2000 by Namdhari Seeds. The grocery chain deals in the premium green grocers segment which offers groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables to customers.
