TRAI further extends last date to submit comments on OTT regulation & selective ban

Earlier, on the request of stakeholders for an extension of time for submission of comments, the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments was extended up to August 18, 2023 and September 01, 2023, respectively.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has again extended the last date for submitting written comments and counter comments on the issues raised by the stakeholders in the Consultation Paper on Regulatory Mechanism for Over-The-Top (OTT) Communication Services, and Selective Banning of OTT Services’. Now, the last date has been shifted to September 01, 2023, and September 15, 2023.

TRAI released a Consultation Paper on ‘Regulatory Mechanism for Over-The-Top (OTT) Communication Services, and Selective Banning of OTT Services’ on July 07, 2023. The last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the Consultation Paper invited from stakeholders was fixed as August 04, 2023, and for counter comments by August 18, 2023.

Earlier, on the request of stakeholders for an extension of time for submission of comments, the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments was extended up to August 18, 2023 and September 01, 2023, respectively.

However today, keeping in view the request of stakeholders for further extension of time for submission of comments, TRAI again decided to extend the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments up to September 09, 2023, and September 15, 2023, respectively.
