As per news reports, the Bengaluru-based ride hailing company Ola has launched a fleet of Bajaj and Piaggio autorickshaws also known as Ola Tuk-Tuks in Liverpool, UK.To celebrate the launch of the vehicles, Ola also provided free rides to the users around the Liverpool City Centre. In fact, in August 2018, Ola had already forayed into the UK market after it obtained licences to operate in South Wales and Greater Manchester.
Moreover, after dominating the Indian market in its segment, Ola has also challenged Uber across other international markets too. Last year, Ola had also launched its riding services in New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. With these initiatives, Ola is looking to step up its game to give cut-throat competition to its extreme rival, Uber which has a wider prevalence across many places in the world. With this move, more options will be available with the customers and also a larger share of the fare will go to the drivers. We had an absolute blast in Liverpool this weekend!
