GJC to organize Diwali edition of India Gem & Jewellery Show

The event is expected to witness more than 15,000 domestic and international buyers and has more than 400 exhibitors.

After successfully organizing the 1st edition of the India Gem & Jewellery Show (GJS) in April this year, All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), the apex industry body representing the jewellery sector in India is all set to organize the Diwali Edition (2nd edition) of mega B2B expo from 22nd To 25th September at Bombay Exhibition Center (NESCO), Mumbai.

The show has more than 400 exhibitors. As part of the promotion of the show, GJC has conducted over 100 road shows across India and international markets like the UK, Dubai, Bangladesh, etc. The event is expected to witness more than 15000 buyers, domestic as well as international buyers. The show will also witness educational seminars along with trend talks by prominent leaders from the industry. 

Speaking of the show, Ashish Pethe, Chairman, GJC said, “We have strategically planned this show before the festive season of Diwali/Dussehra. It will be beneficial for both exhibitors and visitors as the whole industry will be preparing for the upcoming demand. In this edition, we look forward to welcoming buyers from all over the world. We have done rigorous promotion over the last few months and we have received good responses from the buyers.”

Weighing in, Saiyam Mehra, Vice Chairman of GJC and Convener of GJS, said, “Excitement and the preparations are on sound for the Diwali edition of Humara Apna Show. With more than 400 exhibitors and 800 booths ready with the comprehensive stocks to fulfil the demands of the upcoming festive season and with 9000 registered visitors this show seems successful already.”

“Diwali is a time when we see sales of jewellery at the peak, and with an effort to capitalize on the opportunity, we have come up with the GJS Diwali edition. I am sure exhibitors at GJS would be showcasing some interesting and innovative jewellery, specially made for this festive season,” he added.

All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) represents lakhs of trade constituents comprising manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, laboratories, gemologists, designers and allied services to the domestic gems & jewellery industry.

Expressing the excitement about the show, Nilesh Shobhawat (Co-Convenor GJS) says, “After months of preparations, we are all set to present the Diwali edition of GJS at Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Mumbai. Our focus has been to give the industry a memorable experience and we are confident we will deliver.”
